Course Description
This webinar will explore the meaningfulness of work for people living with long-term work disability and chronic pain, and the role meaning plays in return to work effort.
You will learn:
- The role that the meaning of work plays in work disability
- How the meaning of work drives effort to return to work.
- Be provided with strategies to address the meaning of work in a work rehabilitation context.

Sara Saunders, Ph.D.Assistant Professor and Director of the Occupational Therapy Program with McGill UniversityDr. Sara Saunders is an occupational therapist whose clinical background involved working with individuals with work disability resulting from a musculoskeletal injury. Her research interests include exploring the meaning of work for injured workers living with chronic pain, long-term work disability and job loss. She is currently the Director of the Occupational Therapy Program at McGill University where she teaches work disability theory and organizes ergonomic and healthy workplace initiatives in collaboration with the university and occupational therapy students
